When our client relocated from Iowa to Georgia, they wanted to infuse their new Southern-style home with the edgy flair we had crafted in their previous residence. Despite the challenge of working from a distance, we successfully executed a full home transformation that seamlessly blended bold, contemporary elements with their bold, quirky sense of style. Through virtual walkthroughs, Zoom discussions, and meticulous digital planning, we navigated the complexities of the project without ever setting foot in the space. The result is a cohesive, stylish home that reflects our client’s unique personality and vision while embracing the warmth and elegance of the home itself. This project exemplifies how innovative design and modern technology can overcome geographical barriers to create a space that truly sings with style and flair.

It’s DSM Awards week, and we’re continuing to spotlight our three nominated projects.
Up next: Jackie & Timothy’s Lighting Design.
This project uses lighting not just for illumination, but as a defining design element that elevates each space. In the powder room, globe pendants and a sleek vertical sconce layer light beautifully - highlighting the bold geometric wallcovering and marble vanity to create a true jewel-box moment.
The stairwell becomes sculptural with a cascading multi-light chandelier suspended through two stories, drawing the eye upward and emphasizing the home’s grand architectural scale.
In the lower-level kitchenette and dining area, a curated mix of statement pendants, sconces, and modern chandeliers define individual zones while maintaining a cohesive, moody atmosphere.
Here, lighting doesn’t simply brighten a room - it shapes the experience of it.

When invited to stage this home for the Parade of Homes, Abby was given a stunning office with soaring ceilings and expansive windows. Full of potential, but not without its challenges. The unconventional dimensions required thoughtful planning to ensure the design both fit the space and complemented the home’s architectural style.
Every element was chosen to evoke a lifestyle that blends professionalism with personal comfort. A space where someone could envision both productive workdays and quiet moments to unwind.
The result is a refined balance of modern elegance and rustic warmth, natural wood tones layered with clean-lined furnishings to create a workspace that feels inspiring, grounded, and livable.

It’s DSM Awards weekend, and we have THREE projects up for recognition.
We’ll be sharing each one leading up to Thursday, when we find out which project (or maybe all 😉) takes home top honors. Stay tuned.
First up: Jackie & Timothy’s custom bunk retreat.
Designed to be as functional as it is beautiful, this fully custom-built sleeping and lounging system maximizes every inch of space while creating warmth, privacy, and architectural impact. Crafted in rich fluted wood paneling, the structure features four sleeping areas (each with its own reading light) alongside built-in lounge seating, desks, and hidden storage.
The goal? A sleepover haven for their grandchildren that feels playful and inviting, yet seamlessly aligned with the home’s elevated aesthetic.
By blending sleep, work, and relaxation into one cohesive built-in, this space becomes more than a bunk room. It’s a multipurpose retreat designed for both kids and adults.
